Bike commuting day 3

I got annoyed enough to pay someone to fix the slight wobble in my front wheel that has been bugging me for a very long time. I've tried to fix it before myself, but without the benefit of a truing stand ( can you say hundreds of dollars? ) it is a hard thing to do right. They charge at least $10, and up to $20 for the time of employees that probably only make about $8 an hour. A guy comes out after a few minutes, and says that it is already as good at it's going to get, and what wobble is there isn't something he can fix so he was just going to give it back to me at no charge. Disappointed I put the wheel back on my bike, and find that the wobble that was enough for me to see while riding is gone. Perhaps one employee fixed it, and another employee thought that no work had been done yet? Or perhaps I got it most of the way there on my own, and it only took him a few minutes to finish the job.
