Christina shared the breakfast she was cooking with me, and April, and perhaps one of her housemates, but I don't remember so clearly any more. It was tofu, and onions, and I don't remember what else, and it was really good. Christina, Jim, April, Colleen, and I all rode together in April's car to the river. We picked up Jim, and Colleen along the way. It was a tight fit with so many people but we managed. We also stopped at the UNsafeway to get drinks. It wasn't exactly exciting. We just found an empty spot on the busy river, and took a seat. Waded into the river, and did a little bit of swimming against the current. Well some of us did. I know Christina the former lifeguard did, and I think Jim did too. Christina, and I took turns putting sunscreen on each other's backs. It was fun, and relaxing.
After we were done at the river we headed back to town, and each person was dropped off along the way, and as they got cleaned up they headed to the "Tin Shed" via bicycle. Except Christina, and I because I didn't have a bicycle with me. So she showed me the way, and I drove. I would have gone home instead of going to the Tin Shed because I was totally broke, but Christina bought me dinner, and a drink so that I could keep hanging out with her, and her friends. She spent a lot of that time reading a comic book. I didn't mind. I found it adorable that she was so into a comic book that she was reading it even at a bar with friends.
I think I already know that Christina won't be one of those fair weather friends because she made an effort to be my friend even when I didn't have much to offer besides my friendship.
